Why does it matter?
Hearing aid brands are not all equal. Each hearing aid manufacturer deals with sound differently using their own unique “sound processing strategy”. While one manufacturer may focus their research and design on audibility, another may focus on reducing listening effort, while the next may focus on providing the most natural sound. Some manufacturers provide accessories and assistive listening devices that others do not, and some manufacturers have limitations when it comes to rechargeability and Bluetooth connectivity. Even the physical design of a hearing aid and its controls can be suitable for some and not for others. Having an experienced audiologist who can chose from a range of hearing solutions leads to the best possible hearing outcome for you!
